Stir-fried Bean Sprouts with Garlic Chive Flowers
Crisp bean sprouts and aromatic chive flowers come together in a quick stir-fry, a refreshing spring vegetable dish.

6 items- Bean sprouts 200 g
- Garlic chive flowers 100 g
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Cooking oil 1 tablespoon
- Salt 1/2 teaspoon
- White pepper a pinch

Trim the ends off bean sprouts, rinse and drain thoroughly. Trim the hard base of garlic chive flowers and cut into 4 cm segments. Slice garlic thinly.
Heat a wok over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon oil, and fry garlic slices for about 20 seconds until fragrant and edges turn golden.
Turn heat to high, add chive flower segments and stir-fry quickly for about 30 seconds until bright green and slightly wilted.
Add bean sprouts and continue stir-frying over high heat for about 20 seconds until sprouts turn translucent and just tender.
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and a pinch of white pepper, toss well for about 10 seconds, then remove from heat and serve immediately.
Tips
Use high heat throughout and keep the cooking time short to maintain crisp texture and nutrients.
