A fragrant milk tea infused with Portuguese flair, where cinnamon and caramel intertwine to deliver the sweet warmth of Macau.

6 items- Black tea bags 2
- Cinnamon stick 1
- Whole milk 200 ml
- White sugar 5 tbsp
- Water 200 ml
- Cinnamon powder a pinch

Steps (5 steps)
Add 200ml water, 2 tea bags, and 1 cinnamon stick to a pot. Boil over high heat then simmer 3 minutes until deep red and aromatic.
Remove tea bags and cinnamon. Add 200ml whole milk, heat over medium until small bubbles appear, about 2 minutes.
Stir in 2 tbsp sugar until fully dissolved. Cook for 1 minute to incorporate the sweetness.
In another pot, heat 3 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp water over low heat until amber. Quickly pour into tea and stir.
Strain into cups, sprinkle with cinnamon powder. Serve hot, smooth and not overly sweet.
Tips
When making caramel, use low heat and remove immediately when amber to avoid bitterness. For stronger cinnamon, steep the stick longer.
